Franklin has been involved in local government since he was fifteen years old.  "The Mayor of Park Ridge (IL) at the time asked me if I wanted to represent the youth voice on the Uptown Redevelopment Task Force.  I jumped at the opportunity!  By the end of it, I was a subject-matter expert in TIF districts and a junior in high school."

Franklin went on to receive his BBA from Loyola University Chicago and his MA in Organizational Leadership from Judson University.  He has worked on numerous campaigns (local, county, state house) as a consultant, fundraiser, or campaign manager (and as a candidate too).  As Supervisor, he served Elgin Township for four years and traveled the State of Illinois as a member of the Township Officials of Illinois - Supervisor Division.  

Currently, Franklin is the Executive Director of the Senior Hub - located just north of Denver, Colorado - which focuses on senior food insecurities.
